The Netherlands

Introduction

The Netherlands is a fascinating place for an educational tour for students. As a country steeped in history, with a strong English-speaking population, beneficial visits can easily be arranged to universities and companies, allowing a point of comparison.

With numerous art galleries and famous painters – such as van Gogh, Rembrandt and Vermeer – the Netherlands is ideal for educational travel programmes. Art students can benefit from a trip to Amsterdam to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to see highlights, including The Potato Eaters (1885); Sunflowers (1889) The Bedroom (1888) and Self Portrait as a Painter (1887-1888). The nearby Rijksmuseum is filled with Dutch gems from Vermeer’s The Milkmaid (1660) to Rembrandt’s The Night Watch (1642).
