Introduction

The landlocked country of Switzerland may be small, but with a very robust and active foreign policy, it holds a wealth of opportunities for groups looking to study in a wide variety of fields.  The beautiful city of Geneva is the birthplace of the International Red Cross, and is home to numerous international organisations including one of the four United Nations offices.

Although the main economic centre in Switzerland is manufacturing, the service sector is also important to the buoyant economy, with a wealth of banking and insurance companies, as well as hotels and tourist attractions.
