Introduction
Iceland, with its relatively small population, is the most sparsely populated country in Europe. It is a volcanically active country, with a vast amount of glaciers, lava fields, and mountains. The Northern Lights are visible from the whole of the island, which is a particular draw for groups, as does the famed Blue Lagoon. Although groups typically start their journey in Reykjavik, there are many smaller towns and villages that offer groups the opportunity to experience a different way of life and to explore more rural locations.
Anglo Educational Services has previously arranged programmes in Iceland focusing on sustainability, photography, geology, in addition to groups looking to do walking and hiking tours. Another popular area is education, and AES has arranged visits to schools to observe both education and student leadership.
