Introduction
Belgium is home to some of the most beautiful medieval towns and stunning architecture in the world. It is also where the European Parliament and NATO are based, meaning Belgium is a must-visit for Government & Politics students.
Brussels is one of the political capitals of Europe, and groups studying Government & Politics can visit both government and non-government organisations, as well as the headquarters of the European Parliament.
There are also a number of day trips that we offer student groups, such as Bruges, Ghent, Ypres and Liège. Bruges is a beautiful medieval town, and UNESCO World Heritage Site, perfect for architecture or history students. Both Ghent and Liege boast historic churches and an array of museums and galleries. Moreover, the battlefields at Ypres, with their strong links to the past, can form part of a historical tour of the area.
Most groups going to Belgium on an educational programme will visit at least two cities. Also, the high-speed Eurostar train between many of the major European cities means that travel to other popular destinations, such as Paris, Amsterdam and London, takes as little as two hours.
