Named after Charles Dickens, the 19th Century novelist, who lived at a variety of addresses in Bloomsbury. These included 14 Great Russell Street, Tavistock Square, and most famously, 48 Doughty Street, where the Charles Dickens Museum now resides. Dickens was celebrated for writing influential novels, such as Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol, and Great Expectations.
