Introduction
Wales, whilst still part of the UK, has maintained a distinct cultural identity. The capital city, Cardiff, is just a few hours from London by high speed train, and the country offers many fascinating options for Study Abroad programmes, with its literary connections and strong sporting history.
Wales is typically visited in conjunction with other British locations, such as Manchester, Liverpool, London, and may even extend to Ireland. Many of our semester programmes will include a weekend in Wales as part of their studies in the UK. Popular itineraries include hiking in the Brecon Beacons, horse riding, and mountaineering.
Anglo Educational Services has previously arranged programmes in Wales focusing on a wide range of subjects, including literature, history, sustainability, hospitality and tourism, engineering, business and finance and sports management. Another popular area is education, and AES has arranged a number of visits to universities to look at both education and student leadership.
