AES Attendance Policy
1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to set clear expectations for attendance, punctuality, and commitment to the Anglo Educational Services (AES) full-time academic and internship programmes. Adherence to this policy ensures compliance with UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) requirements and supports students’ academic and professional success.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all participants enrolled in AES-managed academic programmes and internship placements in the United Kingdom.
3. Attendance and Programme Commitment
3.1 Full-Time Programme Requirement
- The AES programme operates on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.
- Participants are expected to be available from 9:00 a.m. Monday until 6:00 p.m. Friday until an individual timetable has been confirmed by AES.
3.2 Attendance Expectations
Participants are required to:
- Attend all scheduled classes, site visits, and independent study sessions.
- Remain compliant with UKVI attendance and engagement regulations.
- Not take time off without prior written approval from AES
Note:
- As your Student Visa Sponsor, only AES can authorise absences.
- Your home university, faculty or internship supervisor cannot grant time off.
- Absence approval will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
- Any time off or approved absences must be made up, with students demonstrating equivalent learning outcomes where applicable.
4. Internship Attendance
During the internship phase, participants must:
- Attend all scheduled internship days and hours as outlined in the internship confirmation letter, timesheets, and AES correspondence.
- Not make any schedule changes (single-day or long-term) without prior discussion and written approval from AES.
- Contact AES first regarding any request for schedule changes /time off. Participants must not negotiate adjustments directly with internship supervisor.
5. Punctuality and Attendance Reporting
Participants are expected to:
- Arrive punctually for all academic sessions and internship commitments.
- Report attendance following AES procedures.
Absence Reporting:
- Absences will only be excused with valid supporting evidence (e.g., medical certificate, documentation of a genuine emergency).
- Absences must be reported promptly through the appropriate AES communication channels.
- Time off for personal travel or non-essential activities is not permitted.
- Any time off or approved absences must be made up, with students demonstrating equivalent learning outcomes where applicable.

6. Visa Compliance
Attendance is directly linked to UKVI compliance.
- Poor attendance or failure to report absences appropriately may result in non-compliance with UKVI regulations.
- Non-compliance can affect your visa status and eligibility to remain in the UK.
7. Mitigating / Extenuating Circumstances
AES recognises that unforeseen events may affect attendance or academic performance. Participants may provide evidence of mitigating or extenuating circumstances as outlined below.

8. Procedure for Submitting a Claim
- Submit evidence of Mitigating / Extenuating Circumstances within five working days of the incident.
- Attach relevant documentary evidence.
- Send all documentation to tasmin@angloeducational.com.
- AES will review the claim and confirm approval or denial in writing.
9. Non-Compliance
Failure to meet attendance requirements, submit evidence promptly, or adhere to AES procedures may result in:
- Academic or disciplinary action.
- Notification to UKVI.
- Possible termination of sponsorship and withdrawal from the programme.
